May 2026... COOPERATION THE BAPTIST WAY

WOW! We just finished Vacation Bible School training, and it was a great event—very encouraging. We had 117 workers trained, 11 trainees, and 21 churches represented. Everyone had a positive experience.

Throughout the training, we recognized again that the role of VBS is to proclaim the Gospel to people who do not know Jesus Christ. Many people may never hear the Gospel without VBS. For most Baptist churches, VBS is one of the most effective evangelism outreaches we have.

If your church has never experienced VBS, try it this year! It is fun, effective, and a great way to meet your neighbors.

Recently, we have heard a lot about “Being Better Together.” VBS is one area where sharing resources and workers has always been normal. Smaller churches often depend on larger churches to share decorations and materials. Sometimes a smaller church needs help with staffing and may need to borrow a worker or two. We team up and work together to present Christ to a lost world.

If your church needs help, let us know. We can help act as matchmakers to connect churches with available resources and workers.

One last thing about VBS—don’t forget the adults. Churches that offer Adult VBS consistently see adults accept Jesus Christ. Adults need Jesus too.
