 All the Leaders You Need!

Often I am told that "our church doesn't have any leaders", or " I have been here five years and God has not brought me a single leader.  Jesus said, "Beseech the Lord of the harvest to send workers into the harvest."  The Lord has been sending workers, we may not have seen them.  Who are these workers?  New Christians, senior adults, college students or any number of other catergories of people.  They are the people God has led to your church.  They are the workers He has provided.

Each church is given the people needed to fulfill teh great commission, only many of them are not trained.  When people accept Jesus, they are "babes in arms".  They do not arrive trained and ready for battle.  They must be trained. They are like a new recruit for an army.  They are ready, willing and able to serve, but they must be trained how to serve.  Ofen we ask them to do things they don't understand or have the basic knowledge to fulfill their mission.

This is where the Advance Leadership Development Program comes to our aid.  It is designed to lay the foundation a person needs to lead in a church.  Courses are on the college level in the basics of our faith.  Courses include Introduction to New Testament, Old Testament, Theology, and History of the Baptists.  They are fundamental courses to prepare a lay person to a lead a church.  Do you need leaders?  If so, you need Advance!

On July 19, 6:30pm we will have an Open House to introduce this discipling ministry.  It is to train current and potential leaders for your church.  Twenty-three of our current pastors received their initial formal training through Advance.  The training is effective.  Having enough leaders can begin with enrolling potential leaders in Advance.
