A NEW BEGINNING...

In 1955 three churches, First Baptist Church, Boulder City; First Southern Baptist Church, Henderson; and First Baptist Church, Las Vegas agreed together to form a Baptist Association for the purpose of reaching Southern Nevada with the gospel.  Over the years many joint projects have been accomplished.  Unity of doctrine, fellowship, and purpose has kept us together.  We still believe the same doctrine, we still need each other, and we still have the same purpose.  However, the world has changed, so our methods of proclaiming the gospel need to be designed for this generation.

Today our association consist of 120 congregations.  Fifty-three are English language churches, fifty-three are non-English language churches, and fourteen are route churches.  Ninety-six are less than 100 in attendance; seven are larger than 400 in attendance.  If we are to reach the people of Southern Nevada our methods must deliver the gospel in the most effective way possible.

To the desired goal of carrying the gospel to this generation we have formed a team to evaluate where we are currently, evaluate the most effective way to reach this generation, and design a strategy to most effectively reach Southern Nevada.

This team consist of nine leaders from our churches who will be spending many hours over the next 18 months evaluating, designing, and implementing a new strategy for our fellowship of church members.  This team includes:
